Field Service Technician Jobs in Idaho

A Field Service Technician in the biotechnology industry is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing biotechnological equipment at various sites. They provide onsite technical assistance, calibrate systems, perform inspections, and troubleshoot problems to ensure all equipment is in good working order. They also provide training and technical support to users, document service and installation activities, and assist with product upgrades and modifications. This role is vital for ensuring the smooth operation of biotechnology equipment, which contributes to the success of scientific research and medical procedures.

Important skills for this role include strong technical and mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. Familiarity with biotechnological equipment and processes is a must. Certification in Biotechnical Equipment Technology or similar is often required, along with relevant experience. Prior to becoming a Field Service Technician, one might have roles such as Laboratory Assistant, where they gain experience with lab equipment, Biomedical Technician, where they become acquainted with various medical devices, or even a role as a Technical Support Specialist, providing a foundation in troubleshooting and customer service.
