Lab Technician
Job Description

As a Lab Technician, you will perform laboratory tests such as pH, Density, Viscosity, Percent Solids, and Moisture. You will use analytical equipment like Analytical Balance, Thermal Analyzers, pH Meters, and KFT Analyzers. Your role will include raw materials testing, in-process testing, and finished product testing. You will assist with the development of testing methods and document all testing data and corresponding information. Maintaining a safe and clean working environment is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Perform laboratory tests including pH, Density, Viscosity, Percent Solids, and Moisture.
  • Use analytical equipment such as Analytical Balance, Thermal Analyzers, pH Meters, and KFT Analyzers.
  • Conduct raw materials testing, in-process testing, and finished product testing.
  • Assist with the development of testing methods.
  • Document all testing data and corresponding information.
  • Maintain a safe, clean working environment.
Essential Skills
  • Background in chemistry lab work.
  • Experience with quality lab testing and chemistry testing.
  • Ability to learn and perform quality lab testing independently.
  • Knowledge of laboratory procedures and safety protocols.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or Biochemistry.
  • Experience in Quality Lab Testing and Quality Control.
  • Knowledge of R&D and R&D Lab Testing.
  • Experience in formulation and working as an R&D Lab Technician.
Work Environment

You will work in a brand new building with a state-of-the-art laboratory, part of a global manufacturing site for agriculture and lawn/turf products. You will be part of a team of eight to ten lab technicians, chemists, and other professionals. Initially, you will work a schedule of Wednesday through Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for the first three months to catch up with testing demands. Once settled, the schedule will transition to a normal first shift, Monday through Friday. Approximately 90% of your time will be spent in the lab performing tests, with the remaining 10% dedicated to documentation and quality control tasks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.45 - $28.85/hr.
