GlycoBac was founded in 2011 and is intellectually and physically linked in adjacent lab spaces to Dr. Donald Jarvis’ academic lab at the University of Wyoming. GlycoBac’s research efforts focus on various aspects of glycobiology and glycoengineering in the baculovirus-insect cell system, development of virus-free insect cell lines, diagnostic testing for viral contaminants derived from insect cell lines, and the application of our emerging tools to develop vaccines, therapeutic antibodies, and other glycoproteins for direct biomedical applications. We are in the business of developing, characterizing, applying, and commercializing new baculovirus-insect cell platforms for recombinant protein production.
