Research Assistant Laboratory of Cellular Biophysics

Organization Overview

We study the organization of cells,with a particular emphasis on the mechanisms that control the compartmentalization of cellular components. We study the principles that govern how macromolecules cross membranes or are integrated into membranes, the physiological and pathological consequences of (im)proper compartmentalization, and develop new technologies for studying cellular function.
Overview

The Research Assistant will be assisting on various projects in the lab by conducting bioinformatics analysis.

Responsibilities

Responsiblities include:

• Helping lab members with transcriptome analysis
• Working on analysis of data from ATAQ-seq and CUT&RUN
• Analyzing aberrant splicing events in the tumor tissue
• Maintaining a web portal for our genomics data
• Establishing a RedCap database for all the patient data

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree required
• Candidate must be adept at bioinformatics

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Candidates comfortable with R, Python and transcriptome analysis
