Job Title: Research Technician 3 Department: Optometry | Academics

Position Overview:
The Part-Time Research Assistant will support research projects by assisting with IRB preparation, data collection, processing, analysis, payment management, and administrative tasks. The candidate will collaborate with faculty and other team members to implement studies, maintain equipment, and document experimental procedures. Additionally, this role involves ensuring accessible research environments by accommodating the needs of disabled lab members and participants.

About the Lab:
The Ohio Laboratory for Visual Impairment Research conducts studies on the impact of visual impairment on daily functioning and quality of life. Our research spans low vision to total blindness with a focus on common visual disorders (e.g., macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, cataracts, retinitis pigmentosa) and their cognitive and behavioral outcomes. We emphasize on integrating experimental findings with clinical insights and improving interventions and support services for individuals with vision impairment.

Additional Information:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience required.

Pay Range: $ 17.31 - $22.77

*This is a temporary position with a tentative end date in September 2025.*
