The Program of Neurobiology of Stress and Suicide is committed to advancing our understanding of the biological markers associated with stress and suicidality. This study specifically investigates the development of psychiatric illness following infectious diseases.

We are currently seeking a full-time Research Specialist to join our team. The Research Specialist will play a key role in participant recruitment, data quality assurance, scheduling and conducting study visits, administering suicide risk assessments, and supporting safety planning.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for growth and improvement. An interest in developing clinical skills and the ability to engage effectively with teens and their parents are essential.

This position is grant funded.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently execute job functions for research protocol(s) including recruitment, scheduling appointments, obtaining written consent forms, collecting data by conducting phone or face to face interviews for research project(s).
  • Collaborate with senior research personnel regarding recruitment, data collection, outcomes of interviews, reports according to the needs of the study.
