responsibilities:
- Impeccable lab practices, including aseptic cell line/primary cell maintenance and stimulation. Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to optimize cell culture conditions, phenotypical assays, Western Blot, migration/contraction assays (fibroblasts), viability assays, qPCR, ELISA/multiplex protein assays, and flow cytometry.
- Experience with human cell types relevant to tissue homeostasis such as fibroblast, epithelial cells, and macrophages.
- Familiar with complex in vitro models such as co-culture, tissue explants, Transwells, organoids, 3D/microfluidic/chip systems a plus.
- Ability to analyze, plot, interpret, and present data in team meetings.
- Aptitude to communicate in a virtual environment and a hybrid office/virtual setting
- Proficient at maintaining accurate and well-organized records and laboratory electronic notebooks.
qualifications:
Required:
- 5+ years hands-on academic/industry experience.
- BS/MS in Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, Bioengineering/Biomedical Engineering, or Medical/Pharmaceutical Sciences.
- Primary cell culture and stimulation.
- Molecular biology techniques (ELISA, qPCR, RNAseq, Western Blot, flow cytometry).
- Pharmacological treatment (small/large molecules, siRNAs).
- Data analysis and statistics.
