Essential Functions

These are the job duties required of the position.

Essential Functions

• Performs a variety of research and laboratory procedures using independent judgment.
• Assists the Principal Investigator in designing and performing experiments.
• Works with small animals to include performing and assisting with surgery.
• Performs animal surgery, genotyping and sample analysis, cell isolation and culture, bacteria culture, western blotting, RNA/DNA isolation, PCR and immunostaining.
• Maintains laboratory in an orderly manner.
• Follows appropriate safety procedures.
• Regular and prompt attendance.
• Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required.
• Related duties as required.
